I trust you are well.

My wife and I have decided to move to Italy for a few years in order for us and our children to expereince the wonders of the Italian life style and culture.

I was born in Rome (Albano) and migrated to Australia with my parents when I was 5. I am now an Australian Citizen, my wife was born in Australia but her parents are Italian.
We both speak fluent Italian.

I never quite returned to Italy since I arrived to Australia due to the Military issues. Iam now 36 years old.

Is it safe for me to visit without the peril of being drafted to the military?

I undestand that I need to live in Italy for 1 year before I can reclaim my Italian Citizenship and then be able to work.

Can I work whilst I'm in Italy within the first year without sponsorship from a potential employer?

Can I send my children to a regular school?

Thank you so much.

Marco Simone
